‘Swarm’ Series From Co-Creator Donald Glover Releases Teaser Trailer

After the end of 'Atlanta,' anticipation has been high surrounding the upcoming launch of 'Swarm,' co-created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabers.

Amid growing hype, a new teaser for Prime Video’s upcoming Swarm series has been released.

The new series from Janine Nabers and Donald Glover stars Dominique Fishback as a woman who, per the show’s logline, takes her “obsession with a pop star” to a dangerous and seemingly violent level.

The teaser opens with the distant sound of buzzing bees, with the ominousness only ramped up in a later shot showing blood being almost joyously mopped up off a floor.

See the teaser above. The new series is set to debut on Prime Video on March 17 following its SXSW premiere one week earlier.

Nabers is an acclaimed creative voice whose past work includes writing the Atlanta episode “Sinterklaas is Coming to Town,” among others. The Season 3 installment was widely acclaimed with equal enthusiasm for both its carefully executed hilarity and a truly shocking (hauntingly so) moment that’s best experienced without spoilers.

Last October, Nabers spoke with Karla Rodriguez for Complex about another Atlanta episode, the Season 4 entry “Work Ethic!” As Nabers explained, she first joined the Atlanta team “as a fan” but quickly came to think of her collaborators as a family.

“I think we stuck the landing,” she said when asked about the series being brought to an end after four bold and unparalleled seasons.

Revisit the insightful conversation in full here.

In June, Swarm star Dominique Fishback will be seen alongside Anthony Ramos in Steven Caple Jr.’s standalone Bumblebee sequel Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Catch a recently released teaser for the presumed blockbuster below.
