Stephen Colbert Actually Made a Trailer for the Nonexistent 'Hidden Fences'

LMAO. Stephen Colbert actually made a whole damn trailer for 'Hidden Fences,' a movie invented by white people at the Golden Globes.

Hidden Fences, a movie that doesn't actually exist but that was invented out of thin air by white people this weekend, finally has a trailer. Stephen Colbert generously recut portions of two great movies that actually do exist—Hidden Figures and Fences, which are TWO DIFFERENT MOVIES, SQUIDBRAINS—and compiled these recut slices of cinema into a fittingly ridiculous 75 seconds of mashup mastery.

Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of a former U.S. president trying to make a name for herself as someone who reads things on TV or whatever, inspired one of the most amazing reaction faces of all time at Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony when she presented the following batch of words: "So, you're nominated for Hidden Fences," Hager said to Pharrell, prompting the glorious GIF seen above. She later apologized.

Later that night, Michael Keaton made the exact same flub while presenting the award for Best Supporting Actress. "Let's make this official," Keaton joked to TMZ when informed the double flub had gone viral. "I'm sorry. I apologize. I screwed up. I'm a horrible person."

Hidden Figures stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe. It's really fucking good. Go see it tonight. Fences, meanwhile, stars Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. It's also really fucking good. You should also go see it tonight. Hidden Fences, just to clarify for those missing the joke here, DOES NOT EXIST. Thank you for your time.
