Watch the New 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Teaser

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' finally drops a proper teaser.

The new teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has finally arrived. The two-minute peek at Rian Johnson's follow-up to the J.J. Abrams-directedThe Force Awakens premiered Friday during the Star Wars Celebration event in Orlando, Florida.

The new teaser opens on Rey (Daisy Ridley), who was last seen in the final moments of The Force Awakens approaching a bearded Luke Skywalker. In the teaser's final moments, we're given brief glimpses at ex-stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega) and X-wing pilot Poe (Oscar Isaac). All told, this teaser consists of two very cryptic minutes.

Ridley, Boyega, and Isaac are again joined by Girls star Adam Driver as the notorious Kylo Ren. Lupita Nyong'o, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, Anthony Daniels, and the late Carrie Fisher will also make appearances. As revealed during the Star Wars Celebration event, Fisher—a celebrated writer—also helped Johnson on the Last Jedi script.

"I love her so much, I just adore her," Johnson told the audience Friday, according toScreen Rant. "I connected with her first and foremost as a writer. She's a brilliant writer, with an incredible mind. I'd go to her house and we'd sit on her bed for hours, going through the script."

Johnson revealed toEntertainment Weekly Friday that the new planet teased in the clip is named Crait. The mineral planet is the location of an old, abandoned rebel case. "It's way out there," Johnson said. "It's uncharted."

Friday also saw the unveiling of a fresh Last Jedi poster, which means it's time to change your iPhone background:

The Last Jedi, a direct sequel to 2015's The Force Awakens, follows last year's critically acclaimed standalone Rogue One. Expect it at your local theater starting Dec. 15.
