If you're currently hunting for your next ruthless prank idea, here's a free suggestion: fake your own death! For Oscar-winner-in-the-making Seth Rogen, his recent appearance on truTV's Billy on the Street presented the perfect opportunity to convince everyday pedestrians in New York City that he had, in fact, bitten the proverbial dust:

For the special "Death Rogen" segment, host Billy Eichner invited Rogen to join him on the streets as his makeshift camera man. Despite the commendable laziness of that disguise, plenty of people were fooled. "We've lost many so great artists this year who don't live long enough to see all the many profound ways people pay tribute to them after they're gone," Eichner explained. Rogen then experienced something the vast majority of us never will: life after (a faked) death.

Rogen potentially stands to land a tribute of a different kind in 2017, as his and Evan Goldberg's Sausage Party is currently very busy campaigning for an animation nod. If you're questioning the Oscar worthiness of Rogen's cinematic party of sausages and other edible items, revisit this:

"Academy members are way smarter and more forward-thinking than people realize," Tom Rothman, head of Sony Pictures, told the Hollywood Reporter in October of the Sausage Oscar plans. "They want to recognize bold, original, risky breakthroughs, and that's what Sausage Party is, however subversive. Plus, it's just plain cool." Fuck yeah it is.
