Though it's not yet been officially announced, Pete Davidson is reported to be returning to ‘SNL’ as host surrounding the premiere of his ‘Bupkis’ series.

Pete Davidson is reportedly set to return to Saturday Night Live as a host next month, just two days after the Peacock premiere of his highly anticipated new series Bupkis.

Page Six shared the news in an exclusive sources-citing piece on Wednesday night, specifying that Davidson is set to host SNL on May 6. Davidson is also slated for a Met Gala appearance on May 1, the publication added. For SNL, notably, this will mark the first time Davidson has hosted or appeared on the show since his May 2022 exit.

Davidson started the SNL era of his career in 2014. His farewell show came last May with the Season 47 finale, which also saw Lorne Michaels and company bidding adieu to Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney, Chris Redd, and other cast members.

Complex has reached out for confirmation on the SNL report. It’s safe to say, however, that it’s likely a lock given the date’s timing in connection with what marks a new chapter for the star.

The semi-autobiographical Bupkis is written and executive produced by Davidson, who also stars alongside Joe Pesci and Edie Falco. Also appearing across the eight-episode story are Steve Buscemi, Bobby Cannavale, Brad Garrett, Chase Sui Wonders, La La Anthony, Ray Romano, Jon Stewart, Kenan Thompson, Simon Rex, and Colson Baker (a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly)—among others.

While a trailer for the new series hadn’t yet been released at the time of this writing, MGK shared an early look at a My Chemical Romance-soundtracked teaser via an Instagram Stories update on Wednesday. The clip was no longer live at the time of this writing.

Bupkis debuts on Peacock on May 4. See a selection of previously unveiled first-look images below. In the coming weeks, Complex will be rolling out extensive coverage surrounding the series, including interviews with multiple cast members.
