Netflix Announces Premiere Date for 'Marvel's Jessica Jones'

The new Marvel series stars Krysten Ritter, David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

The highly anticipated Netflix series Marvel's Jessica Jones finally has a premiere date. The series, starringKrysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Veronica Mars) as iconic New York detective and former (?) superhero Jessica Jones, joins a growing roster of Marvel series on the streaming platform including this year's Daredevil, in addition to the forthcoming Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

The series is part of Marvel and Netflix's ingenious lead-up to the crossover-heavy Marvel's The Defenders, which is expected to feature main characters from each Marvel / Netflix collaboration. Ritter is believed to be reprising her role as Jessica Jones in the series, adding another layer of narrative fun that you can easily unpack thanks to the just-announcedGuidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel's Jessica Jones will premiere on November 20 at a minute after midnight. Ritter will be joined by David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix). Prepare your binge environment accordingly, as the premiere comes armed with 13 one-hour episodes.
