Nearly 200 People Walked out of Amy Schumer Show After She Blasted 'Monster' Trump

Two hundred people in Florida reportedly feel that celebrities and public figures must forfeit their right to a political opinion once a certain level of fame is achieved. That was roughly how many people walked out of Amy Schumer's show in Tampa Sunday night after the comedian ripped into GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, the Tampa Bay Timesreported.

Schumer called Trump an "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster" at Sunday's Amalie Arena show and mocked the leaked Access Hollywood tape reportedly in the process of costing Billy Bush his job. "You know what I love?" Schumer asked the audience. "A famous guy that will just take me furniture shopping and just straight up grab my pussy." At one point during the show, Schumer even invited a self-proclaimed Trump supporter to the stage to explain why he was a Trump supporter. "Because I can't trust Hillary," the man responded.

Speaking with the Tampa Bay Times after apparently ditching the show, attendee Bryon Nfinger lamented the inclusion of politics in comedy, something that has actually been happening for decades. "I don't want to hear that," Nfinger said. "We wanted to have a good night without distractions with the politics."

In a statement to Entertainment Weekly Monday morning, Schumer made one thing very clear: She isn't sweating the lame walkouts one bit. "I loved the crowd and my show in Tampa last night," Schumer said. "I want to thank the 8,400 people who stayed. We had a great time! We have always depended on comedians to make us laugh and tell the truth. I am proud to continue that tradition."
