NBC bosses have reportedly "warned" Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon to cool it with the "out of control" drinking. The warning was given following a number of allegedly alcohol-inspired accidents, Page Six reported Tuesday. Fallon's contractual relationship with the network, however, is believed to extend until at least 2021.

"There were fears that Fallon was out of control and something could happen while he's out drinking," a so-called "insider" told Page Six. "Things got so serious at one stage that execs feared that Jimmy was splitting up with his wife over his drinking, but they patched things up." Among the incidents in question, sources claim, are that one time Fallon nearly severed his ring finger on a table and that other time he chipped a tooth while "trying to open medicine" related to said finger injury.

Fallon is also struggling with the fact that Tonight Show reportedly lost "key staff members" to CBS' Jimmy, a.k.a. James Corden. "Fallon is insanely jealous of Corden," a source told the Six team Tuesday. "There's been some upheaval and Jimmy hasn't handled it well. He's at the top of his game, but he's insecure."

Despite reports that Fallon has split from his publicist and hired a crisis PR expert connected with Brad Pitt, NBC asserts that their relationship with the former Saturday Night Live giggler is as strong as ever. "He's in a class by himself, and we're also looking forward to him hosting the Golden Globes in January, "Bob Greenblatt, NBC Entertainment boss, told Page Six Tuesday. "As a producer and star he delivers over 200 hours of television a year, and any suggestion that we have concerns about his behavior or have given him any kind of 'warning' is completely false."
