Woman From Leaked Trump, Billy Bush Tape Speaks Out on 'Entertainment Tonight'

Nancy O'Dell, the woman from the leaked Donald Trump and Billy Bush tape, spoke out on Monday's 'Entertainment Tonight.'

Nancy O'Dell directly addressed GOP candidate Donald Trump's leaked sexual assault comments during Monday's Entertainment Tonight, telling viewers there is "no room" for the objectification of women. The leaked audio, published by the Washington Post last week, centered on a 2005 exchange between Trump and O'Dell's former Access Hollywood co-worker Billy Bush in which Trump recounted his sexual advances against O'Dell and other women.

"As a journalist for 26 years now, it is my job to bring you news about others, rather than turning the focus on myself," O'Dell said Monday night. "But by now, I'm sure most of you have heard the audio tape which became national news and part of the presidential race. My name was mentioned and unfortunately the release of it has thrown me into the middle of the political arena of which I didn't ask to be a part."

O'Dell then referenced her previous statement on the leaked audio, reiterating the need for a national discussion on the prevalence of such behavior. "There is no room for objectification of women, or anyone for that matter, not even in the 'locker room,'" O'Dell told viewers. "The conversation has got to change because everybody deserves respect, no matter the gender or setting. As a mom, I have to add that our kids—especially our young girls—need to know that their hard work, their achievements, their intelligence, and their heart are most important. Those things will not go unnoticed."

Trump again defended the comments as mere "locker room talk" during Sunday's second presidential debate. "I apologized to the American people," Trump sniffled. "Certainly I'm not proud of it, but this is locker room talk." The comments inspired a ripple effect across the GOP establishment, with several Republican leaders denouncing the rhetoric or even withdrawing their support of Trump outright. Bush has since been suspended from his role on the Today show.
