First Teaser for 'Mr. Robot' Season 2 Asks You to Join the Revolution

The best show on TV returns this summer.

With all the chatter of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, it's easy to forget that other TV shows do exist. Many of them, like USA's Mr. Robot, are pretty damn great. The first peek at the critically praised series' forthcoming second season surfaced on Thursday, showing that the time for a people's revolution is now.

"There are no guarantees anymore," Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) says in the new promo. "No easy paths to follow. The future's never been less certain. They used that to scare us and keep us in line." Judging by this teaser-stacked footage, a lot of people agree with Elliot's assessment of modern life. For those not fully convinced of just how closely some of Mr. Robot mirrors actual reality in 2016, peep this brain-busting tweet:

Though this first look at Mr. Robot's second season offers little in the way of specificity, it does provide possible clues as to the state of the world since the potentially society-altering events of the first season’s finale. Fsociety and Elliot (spoiler alert, lames) pulled off the hack, prompting E Corp's tech boss to commit suicide on live TV.

"The truth is we have more power than they think," Elliott tells a society in shambles in this fresh promo. "The power to take action, to choose to do something. Together we can change the world, change our future, and there's nothing they can do to stop us." As previously reported, none other than Joey Bada$$ has been added to the Season 2 cast as an unnamed friend of Elliot's.
