Lin-Manuel Miranda dropped in on Marc Maron's garage Monday to talk about how cool it must feel to be Lin-Manuel Miranda right now, a wide-ranging discussion that also resulted in the outing of noted artist and activist Immortal Technique as the Hamilton creator's high school bully. According to Miranda, Immortal Technique even employed the use of a trash can.

"I was a kid who figured out who he was in the school play," Miranda told Maron, discussing the moment he first started penning his previous Tony winner In the Heights. As the discussion veered back to his high school days, Miranda casually revealed Immortal Technique's mild bullying tactics. "There's a famous alum of my high school named, well, his rapper name is Immortal Technique," Miranda said. "He's one of the most political, ideological [artists]. He really made an incredible life for himself as a rapper."

But before he was Immortal Technique, he was Miranda's bully. "He was our school bully," Miranda remembered. "He terrorized kids. He'd throw them in the garbage. I got thrown in the garbage by him. He was a really angry kid. It's been wonderful to watch him grow up and find a political outlet for that anger." The message of the story, Miranda noted, is that theater brought both the bullies and the bullied together.
