Kim Kardashian is again putting to rest a rumor that has persisted for over a decade—this time, hopefully, for good.
As you may recall, footage from outside a Paris hotel circa 2014 quickly led to some positing that Kim, who was first seen stepping into a swarm of paparazzi alone before returning to get North West, had somehow forgotten the one-year-old in the lobby.
"I wanted to show off the look before holding her," Kardashian said in a recent Instagram Stories update, per a report from E! News.
As Kardashian explained, North’s outfit “didn’t match” her own, thus inspiring the initially solo hotel exit.
"I didn't forget her!!!!" she added of her and the artist formerly known as Kanye West’s oldest child together.
To be clear, Kardashian has addressed such talk in the past, including in a post on the once-great platform formerly known as Twitter back in October 2014.
“Do u guys really think a 1-year-old would be inside the lobby by herself?” she asked at the time, joking that North could have been “waiting to check out” of the hotel.
More recently, as in just over two months ago, a false claim circulated that Ye had sent a cease and desist letter to Kardashian, with whom he shares four children. The ultimately debunked claim further alleged that the letter saw Ye accusing Kardashian of leaving North “unattended in a vehicle” amid portions of this year’s Met Gala festivities. A rep for Ye confirmed to Complex at the time that the lawyer purporting to represent him had never actually been hired by the Donda artist, nor was Ye or his team involved with the letter.
