UPDATED 11/24, 8:40 a.m. ET: Kevin Spacey has addressed “the recent articles claiming I am homeless” in a new video.
Shared over the weekend, the video finds the Oscar-winning actor reiterating the remarks he made to Mick Brown for a widely aggregated The Telegraph interview earlier this month. Spacey also praised Brown as a “wonderful journalist,” albeit one he argues was undermined by a “misleading” headline.
In Spacey’s opinion, the publication “chose to undermine the work of their own journalist by selling him out with a knowingly misleading headline for the sake of clicks.”

“But I feel it would be disingenuous to allow you to be believe that I am indeed homeless in the colloquial sense,” he added.

Kevin Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner for his acclaimed performances in The Usual Suspects and American Beauty, is confident that he’ll work with high-profile directors again in the future. Still, he’s candid about the current circumstances of his life, saying in a new interview that he “literally” has “no home” following years-long scandals related to allegations of sexual misconduct and assault.
Speaking with Mick Brown for an interview published by The Telegraph on Wednesday (Nov. 19), the 66-year-old actor, who in 2022 was found not liable in a civil suit brought against him by Anthony Rapp, attributed the loss of his house due to the “astronomical” costs that have accumulated over the past seven years. Per Spacey, he’s had “very little coming in” but “everything going out” during this period, offering an assessment of “not great” when asked about his current finances.
“I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is,” Spacey told the publication, as seen here. “I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain.”
Spacey being found not liable in the Rapp suit was followed one year later by another legal victory for the actor, this time in London. In July 2023, he was acquitted of sexual assault in connection with allegations made by four different men. After the verdict, Spacey expressed gratitude to the jury “for having taken the time examine all of the evidence and all of the facts carefully” before coming to a conclusion.
More recently, Spacey received public support from fellow thespians Sharon Stone and Liam Neeson.
Among Spacey’s most recent film credits is Holiguards Saga — The Portal of Force, which he also directed. In recent months, two more Spacey-led projects have received coverage in industry trades, including The Awakening and The Tenth Planet.
