American Life Looks Bleak AF in Keegan-Michael Key's Trump Presidency Forecast

Keegan-Michael Key warns the country with weather forecast imagining if Donald Trump is elected in November.

For the latest hilarious (but also horrifying) viral slice from Marvel director Joss Whedon's Save the Day super PAC, Keegan-Michael Key (Key and Peele, Don't Think Twice) puts his best weatherman foot forward to present a bleak AF forecast for a theoretical Trump presidency. The message here is clear: Expect a windfall of "existential misery" should things go a certain way this November.

"We are seeing a heavy wave of denial coming in from both coasts, trapping a high blood pressure front right in the heart of the country," Key explains in the group's latest voting PSA released Monday. For those way down south, Key warns, that means "civil unrest" will hit a level not seen since the 1960s. Elsewhere, "scattered bankruptcies" are expected to impact portions of the nation while our Canadian pals push down a wave of "giggling and smug looks" following Trump's theoretical inauguration.

Speaking with the Hollywood Reporter in September upon launching Save the Day, Whedon said the goal isn't necessarily to attack Trump, as the GOP nominee has cornered that market pretty well on his own. "It's not about attacking because Donny's real good at attacking himself," Whedon explained. "It's about getting people to vote, because it's frightening the apathy that people are treating the must crucial election of their lifetimes with."

The mission statement for Save the Day is to portray voting as a "necessary and heroic" thing to do, not just another obligatory chore.
