Following news earlier this week of the FBI raid of (now former) Subway spokesman Jared Fogle's residence in Zionsville, Indiana, an unnamed Sarasota, Florida resident tells ABC that she tipped off the FBI to Fogle's reportedly numerous remarks about underage women. The woman says she's known Fogle for more than ten years, working closely with the former Subway icon as a journalist covering his appearances at a variety of local events — including the American Heart Association Walk, sponsored by Subway.

The unnamed former journalist also tells ABC that, upon informing the FBI of Fogle's disturbing remarks, the agency requested she wear a wire to capture additional remarks for a potential investigation. Ron Elberger, Fogle's attorney, has swiftly denied this — dubbing the source's claims as nothing more than "an unrealistic fabrication."
