Johnny Depp, through his legal team, has accused Amber Heard of having a romantic relationship with Elon Musk during their marriage.
The relationship is alleged to have started "no later than one month after" Depp and Heard were married in 2015, according to court documents cited by People. One of Musk's alleged "late night" visits to the couple's then-shared property is said to have occurred, in the words of Depp's legal team, on the same night Heard "presented her battered face to the public."
Depp is currently suing Heard, who has accused him of abuse, for defamation in connection with a December 2018 Washington Post piece. The suit is for a reported $50 million.
"Friends and advisers told me I would never again work as an actress—that I would be blacklisted," Heard wrote in the Post op-ed, which doesn't mention Depp by name. "A movie I was attached to recast my role. I had just shot a two-year campaign as the face of a global fashion brand, and the company dropped me. Questions arose as to whether I would be able to keep my role of Mera in the movies Justice League and Aquaman."
In 2016, Depp was accused by Heard of domestic violence. As the Blastnoted in a separate report Monday, Depp's latest legal move includes interviews with witnesses who saw both Heard and Depp on the night in question. In a statement in response to news of the defamation suit details, Heard's legal team pushed back against Depp. "She will not be silenced," attorney Eric M. George said. "Mr. Depp’s actions prove he is unable to accept the truth of his ongoing abusive behavior."
