Hamilton and In the Heights creator Lin-Manuel Miranda just added another major come-up to his arsenal: hosting Saturday Night Live. Miranda will help steer the Oct. 8 episode of SNL, NBC told the world Wednesday. The award-winning multihyphenate will be joined on the second episode of the sketch classic's 42nd season by musical guests Twenty One Pilots.

Miranda left his wildly successful Hamilton production in July, shortly after bagging a whole bunch of Tonys and becoming a pop culture phenomenon. Javier Muñoz slid into Miranda's spot, opening up the next few years for the MacArthur Genius Award recipient's proper foray into film.

The recent Complex cover star also signed on for Mary Poppins Returns, which is set to go into production in early 2017. Despite fan theories positing that he would be reviving Dick Van Dyke's classic Bert character, Miranda assured skeptical purists Tuesday that the movie is "straight up" a sequel and not a reboot.

"I'm really excited I get to be part of that legacy," Miranda toldVariety of hopping into the classic Mary Poppins universe. "That movie is everyone's childhood. Mine too. Although I never got through 'Tuppence' [the song 'Feed the Birds'], because that lady made me so sad that I would burst into tears. It took me a long time to actually see the end of the movie."

Maybe Miranda and these Pilots will shred "A Spoonful of Sugar" together Oct. 8. You never know.
