In between watching Mad Max: Fury Road on an endless loop since its release back in May, many fans have been plagued with the slightly iffy territory surrounding a potential sequel to the Charlize Theron-led game-changer. If Mad Max mastermind George Miller is to be believed, then fans should expect at least two more entries in the Mad Maxuniverse in the years ahead.

The notorious production troubles that reportedly plagued the lengthy Mad Max: Fury Road shooting process, coupled with the fact that the movie was pushed back multiple times due to weather and repeated budget constraints, has many fans continuing to approach the idea of another Mad Max installment with cautious enthusiasm. Miller, however, is clearly more interested in ensuring that everyone receives additional Mad Max movies. In an interview with Top Gear, Miller confirmed the recent completion of two different scripts:

As noted by Collider, Miller's apparent excitement at continuing the legendary franchise are grounded by his recently desire to do at least one Maxless project before dedicating several more years to that difficult universe. "I want to do a small film without special effects before I do any of that," says Miller, "just to do it quickly. We shot Fury Road for eight months. That’s a lot. Every day in the heat and the dust, doing these stunts, it’s very wearing."
