The emotional prison that is Facebook is slowly but surely making great strides toward a more expressive future. Just days after cynics the world over finally seemed poised to get that highly sought dislike button, Mark Zuckerberg's empire is now testing so-called "Reactions" in Spain and Ireland. This new set of six emoji will exist alongside the original like button to allow users the ability to quickly respond with love, laughter, happiness, shock, sadness and anger:
Though Facebook is currently rolling out the pop-up feature in two markets only, TechCrunch confirms that a larger release is expected after Facebook decides "whether to tweak it and/or how to roll it out further." Facebook's chief product officer Chris Cox teased the possible new feature in an announcement on Thursday:
Sadly, no one on Chris's post was able to click a simple and decidedly modern dislike button.
