UPDATED 9/7, 2:55 p.m. ET: Former Disney star Skai Jackson has been cleared of charges after she was arrested last month involving a domestic dispute. The altercation, with Jackson had which her boyfriend, occurred on Aug. 8 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
According to documents obtained by People, deputies viewed security footage recorded at the park, where Jackson was seen pushing her boyfriend. No weapons were involved and identifiable injuries were sustained during the incident.
"Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding. We appreciate that the DA determined very quickly that there should be no charges of any kind and Skai looks forward to putting this behind her," a rep for the actress stated.
UPDATED 8/17, 11:15 a.m. ET: Actress Skai Jackson will not face charges due to a lack of evidence following her arrest for domestic battery.
According to TMZ, L.A. County District Attorney will reportedly decline charges on the 22-year-old, as Jackson has no prior criminal incidents. Her alleged victim, who's said to be Jackson's boyfriend, has no apparent injuries and declined to speak with prosecutors.
Although Jackson was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery following their alleged incident at Universal CityWalk last week, the Jessie star was released just hours later.

Disney Channel alum Skai Jackson was recently arrested for alleged domestic battery in Universal City.
TMZ was first to report on the arrest, with their regional law enforcement sources stating that the arrest was spurred by an incident involving Jackson and her boyfriend at Universal CityWalk last week. Jackson is accused of pushing the man in question multiple times, with on-site security intervening and detaining the pair as they awaited the arrival of actual law enforcement officials. While the same report also cites separate sources as stating that both Jackson and her partner "denied" claims of a physical altercation, security footage from the location is said to have shown Jackson pushing the man.
Just last week, Jackson, 22, walked the red carpet at Variety’s 2024 Power of Young Hollywood event at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel. Online jail records list the date of Jackson’s misdemeanor arrest as Aug. 9, notably one day after the event. Total bail amount is listed at $20,000, with Jackson confirmed to have been booked and released on the same day.
Both TMZ and Page Six add that not only did Jackson and her boyfriend push back against allegations of their alleged fight having gotten physical, but they are reported to have said they are engaged with a baby on the way.
As of this writing, Jackson has not publicly addressed the arrest. Complex has reached out to Jackson’s reps, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for comment. This story may be updated.
