Chris Evans Goes Full Captain America on Former KKK Leader David Duke

Chris Evans trades words with former KKK leader David Duke on Twitter over his support of Jeff Sessions' AG confirmation.

There's plenty to fear regarding Jeff "Make America Alabama Again" Sessions becoming U.S. Attorney General. Seriously: Take your pick. As Captain America: Civil War star Chris Evans explained during a brief Twitter sparring this week, one of the most troubling aspects of Sessions entering the White House is that it has David Duke rambling about "taking America back."

The former Ku Klux Klan leader's support of Sessions' confirmation, Evans said, means the decision is "unequivocally wrong."

Duke responded by calling Evans a "typical dumb actor," whatever the hell that means. But Evans wasn't in the mood for the fuckery:

"We can't let hatred be the loudest voice," Evans added Thursday. In the hours since his brief sparring with Evans, Duke has been tweeting angrily about the Netflix series Dear White People.

Don't really know who the hell this David Duke guy is? Here's some shit he said back in 2010, as cataloged by the Southern Poverty Law Center: "The real racism today is not by white people, it's against white people." The SPLC also considers Duke the "most recognizable figure of the American radical right" and spokesperson for Holocaust denial.
