Shortly after inventive 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed was searched, interrogated, and arrested in the name of Islamophobia for bringing a homemade clock to school, President Barack Obama (and a host of others including Hillary Clinton and Mark Zuckerberg) expressed their support for Ahmed on Twitter as the hashtag #IStandWithAhmed generated thousands of pictures of outraged citizens holding clocks, not bombs:
Obama's message was simple and unifying, pointing to the importance of young Ahmed's piqued curiosity in the fields of engineering and science. Though misconstruing this statement to be some sort of hateful diatribe aimed at inspiring a war on police officers seems downright ludicrous, that didn't stop former reality TV star Bristol Palin from doing exactly that.
"This is the kind of stuff Obama needs to STAY out of," Palin wrote on her so-called blog. "This encourages more racial strife that is already going on with the 'Black Lives Matter' crowd and encourages victimhood. Childish games like this from our president have divided our country, even more today than when he was elected." As with any projectile Palin statement, these words have not been embellished, as they need no embellishment. They are simply, horrifyingly, another chapter in the Palin story.
