Ben Affleck has reportedly given Jennifer Lopez his stake in a multimillion-dollar mansion they purchased together in 2023.
That’s the word from TMZ, which reported on Friday (April 10) that court docs confirm the modification of a property settlement agreement between the two parties. Specifically, per the report, the docs point to an unspecified transfer of property.
While the court docs don’t go into detail about the transfer in question, the publication’s sources say it’s a reference to Affleck having given “his entire stake in the property” to Lopez, notably for free.
Estimates of the value of Affleck’s stake in the Beverly Hills property place it in the tens of millions given that he and Lopez, then a couple, were reported to have paid just over $60 million in cash for it in 2023. By the following summer, the property was publicly listed for closer to $70 million.
Affleck and Lopez, then known collectively as “Bennifer,” were engaged in the early 2000s, though they ultimately split. The relationship reignited decades later, leading to their marriage in 2022. By 2025, their divorce had been finalized.
Both Affleck and Lopez have spoken publicly about the divorce since then. Affleck, for example, later called attention to the “sensational” coverage that often surrounds such developments, telling GQ’s Zach Baron that his life “is actually pretty drama-free.”
The Oscar-winning filmmaker will next be seen in Animals, a thriller he also directed and co-wrote. Lopez, meanwhile, has the Brett Goldstein-featuring romantic comedy Office Romance on the horizon.
