Though small waves of progress have certainly been made, the issue of gender inequality — with regards to pay, career advancement, sexuality, harassment, et al — still remains one of the most pressing problems facing our country. As of April 2015, full-time working women were still only earning 77% of what their male counterparts earned for the exact same duties. Likewise, the presence of institutionalized slut-shaming is still strong enough to warrant a unified response — and, of course, by "still strong enough" I simply mean slut-shaming still exists in the year 2015 and that's a fucking problem.

Thankfully, a growing number of public figures — from actors to musicians and every form of artist in between — have made gender equality (and women's rights, specifically) a focal point of their respective careers. Certainly no stranger to productive outspokenness, Amber Rose just announced the Amber Rose Slut Walk — a Los Angeles event aimed at battling "women’s equality issues such as sexual injustice, victim blaming, derogatory labeling, and gender inequality."

As you might sadly expect, a swarm of petulant trolls descended upon Rose's IG comments before she swiftly and succinctly put such fuckery to rest with the perfect response:

The event's website offers more information, including volunteer and vendor information. Rose previously discussed her desire to organize her own Slut Walk back in April, detailing her event's connections to previous incarnations and the necessity for protest in modern society:
