New footage has surfaced showing an altercation involving Reacher star Alan Ritchson and a clearly irate neighbor.
The footage, which appears to stem from a body camera worn by the actor as he rode a motorcycle in the Brentwood area of Tennessee earlier this month, is said by TMZ to have first popped up on TikTok. For now, however, its exact origins remain unclear.
From the driver’s point of view, we see a bike being driven down a residential street, with a man—identified as the neighbor in question, Ronnie Taylor—at one point stepping into the path of the two-wheeled vehicle.
“You threatened my fucking safety, bro,” a voice, presumably Ritchson’s, is heard saying as a back-and-forth between the two men erupts.
The neighbor responds by calling Ritchson a “fucking lunatic” and threatening to call police. Ritchson, meanwhile, asks Taylor if he’s been consuming alcohol.
“I should have run you over, dude,” he seemingly adds.
From there, we see the neighbor continuing to stand in the way, with the bike appearing to be forced to the ground multiple times. Ritchson is also heard questioning whether his neighbor is “out of your goddamn mind” and/or “fucking stupid.” A fight ensues, with the neighbor responding with additional threats to call the police while claiming that the actor “assaulting” him is “all on camera.”
Finally, Ritchson returns to his bike, at which point he’s joined by his children on separate vehicles. Together, they drive away.
Complex has reached out to reps for Ritchson, as well as local police, for comment. This story may be updated.
The neighbor previously gave an interview to TMZ, claiming he intervened on the actor’s bike-riding out of concern that someone in the neighborhood might get hurt. Meanwhile, sources close to the actor, also known for Netflix’s War Machine, told the publication that he was not the instigator in the incident, alleging that he was pushed off his bike by Taylor before the fight.
