With his scene-stealing turn as notorious sad boy Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Adam Driver swiftly graduated from that guy who also stole scenes in Girls to a top-shelf movie star. So how's our guy taking all the new attention? According to a recent appearance on Stephen Colbert's Late Show, the fame of being Kylo Ren certainly has its fair share of ups and downs.

"I haven't really gone outside much in the past couple of months," Driver told Colbert on Tuesday. "The kids are great. I feel like before, parents were like, 'stay away from my kids,' and now they're like 'get up there and take a picture, you'll appreciate it later.'" However, though younger fans are easy to accommodate, Driver takes special issue with another group: their parents: "The parents is the scary thing."

As for being called a sex symbol by several major publications, Driver isn't here for that at all. "There's so many people that would disagree with that," Driver insisted. After the audience attempted to convince him otherwise, Colbert likened one’s sex symbol status to hitting a bunch of ice when driving. "Turn into it," Colbert recommended. Colbert then gifted everyone with a photo of Driver from his pre-fame military days:

Reluctant movie star Adam Driver can currently be seen in Midnight Special, a Jeff Nichols-helmed sci-fi thriller. Peep the trailer below:
