2K Games and Eastside Golf Link Up for Special Morehouse Activation

2K Games and Eastside Golf linked up for a special event at Morehouse College in Atlanta this month, complete with the awarding of tickets to the PGA TOUR’s TOUR Championship.

Speaking on the importance of opening up the world of golf to a younger and more diverse audience, Eastside Golf co-founder and Morehouse alum Olajuwon Ajanaku pointed to how “empowering” the partnership with the publisher behind the PGA TOUR 2K23 game has been.

"Hopefully, all students can see this and see that whatever they want to do within their profession is something that they can just make a plan, go about the steps of that plan, and truly accomplish it," Ajanaku said, as seen in the video up top.

At the “closest to the pin” activation, which took place during TOUR Championship week, students were invited to try their hand at PGA TOUR 2K23. The victor of these playful showdowns was gifted with a pair of TOUR Championship tickets, while other lucky attendees were awarded with Xboxes and pieces from the Eastside Golf line.

Both the game and the clothing, per Ajanaku, are intended to serve as inspiration for young fans to realize how attainable their own dreams are.

“The only way that a dream can happen is if you have a true passion for it,” he said. “Hopefully they see that through the video game, through the stories that are told, through our capsules and even pushing forward what we do next.”

PGA TOUR 2K23 Deluxe Edition, Tiger Woods Edition and Standard Edition are available now for Xbox and PlayStation platforms, and on PC/Steam.
