‘Law & Order: SVU’ Stars Ice-T and Christopher Meloni Debunk Rumors of Feud on Twitter

A rumored feud between Ice-T and Christopher Meloni apparently isn’t true.

The Law & Order: SVU actors took to Twitter to clear up the gossip.

“Just sent this email over to my guy @Chris_Meloni,” Ice-T wrote on Twitter. “Clownass MFs trying to make up Drama outta thin air… WOW… MFs are really on that BS.”

The email was from The National Enquirer, which informed the stars that the publication was gearing up to run a story on the pair beefing after Meloni’s “return to the franchise.” The message continued, “Sources told The Enquirer that the former rapper has grown envious of the attention that Mr. Meloni has received since coming back.”

The fact that the pair aren’t on the outs bodes well for Meloni. It seems like if given the choice, some fans would pick Ice-T over Meloni any day—as would he.

Meloni left SVU in 2011 and made his return 10 years later. The 61-year-old actor toldMen’s Health in August 2021 that the reason for his departure after Season 12 was due to contract issues and NBC being unable to pay Meloni the rate he wanted.

Ice-T has been an SVU series regular for 23 years, playing the role of Detective Fin Tutuola. Meloni was on the show for 12 years before his hiatus and subsequent return in April 2021.
