Actor Cody Longo, who previously starred in Days of Our Lives, has passed away. He was only 34 years old.

According to TMZ, police discovered Longo dead in bed at his home in Austin, Texas. His wife, Stephanie telephoned the cops to go to their residence when she couldn’t get a hold of him, reportedly saying she had “an uneasy feeling.”

“He was an amazing father and the best husband. Our whole world is shattered,” she told the outlet, with her adding that “he was really working hard on himself to fight for his kids.”

While the confirmed cause of his death and time of death aren’t clear, it seems that he might have passed away from alcohol abuse. The actor grappled with alcoholism and had gone to rehab this past summer. When local authorities got to the house and there was no answer, they rammed through the door and found Longo’s body.

In 2011, Longo acted in eight episodes of Days of Our Lives, as well as 2009’s Bring It On: Fight to The Finish. A couple of years later, in 2012, he appeared on Hollywood Heights for 78 episodes and in 2016, he was on the show Nashville.

The 34-year-old leaves behind his wife and three kids: a 7-year-old daughter, a 5-year-old son, and a 1-year-old son. RIP.
