Because TV shows about serial killers are the best (most of the time, anyway), FX has just picked up a new series based on the book Heartsick by Chelsea Cain that is about a female murderer named the Beauty Killer. Sure, it might be better on a network like Showtime, but we'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now - we are but starry-eyed, hopeful ones.
Anyway, according to Cain's website, the book's plot specifically follows said Beauty Killer, a "pink haired girl journalist," and a painkiller-addict police detective named Archie who was previously captured and tortured by the Beauty Killer.
It already sounds better than season six of Dexter, so we're sold.
