Film buffs and La Flame fans alike got a big surprise when Travis Scott — or someone who looks an awful lot like him — appeared in a new trailer for Christopher Nolan's upcoming movie The Odyssey.

The trailer aired on Sunday (Jan. 25) during Fox's broadcast of the NFL's AFC Championship game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. You can see the relevant section below.

Reaction to Scott's possible role was a mix of joy and skepticism. But most of all, people were surprised. You can see all of those reactions below.

Some observers noted that Scott and Nolan actually have a history. The rapper's song "The Plan" is the theme song to the soundtrack of Nolan's Tenet.

“His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle,” Nolan told GQ about the track.

The Odyssey, Nolan's adaptation of Homer's epic, stars Matt Damon as the titular wanderer Odysseus, Tom Holland as his son Telemachus, Zendaya as his goddess protector Athena, Anne Hathaway as his wife Penelope, Robert Pattinson as Penelope's would-be suitor Antinous, and Charlize Theron as Circe, the nymph who turns Odysseus' crew of sailors into swine, but then thinks better of it, changes them back, and parties with them for a full year. The film will be released on July 17.
