Candiace Dillard Bassett is stepping into a new vocal chapter in her life with collaborative remixes of her emotionally driven R&B track “If Only…” featuring Tamar Braxton and Darrel Walls.

As reported by People, the original song doubles as an honest reflection of past relationships and serves as the centerpiece of the remix collection titled “The Conversation”. The Tamar Braxton remix, called “If Only…SHEmix,” is already available, while the rendition with Walls' “If Only…HEmix” is set to release on April 24. A solo remix from none other than Dillard Bassett herself will debut in April ahead of the full project's projected May launch.

Dillard Bassett, most notably known as a star from The Real Housewives of Potomac, told People that the song and its remixes come from her own real-life and personal dating experiences, as well as those close to her. “The Conversation” has been framed as a space to open up about love, being vulnerable, and emotional complexity that she believes listeners will find highly relatable.

Bringing Braxton into the project holds major significance to Dillard Bassett, as she has described Braxton as a mentor of sorts. She also names Braxton as a “great big sister” figure whose presence on the track is said to bring elevated themes of empowerment and emotional truth. Braxton is known for being a vocal powerhouse in the industry, adding richness to the overall project.

The addition of Walls, whose gospel background Dillard Bassett credits as influential, adds yet another layer of immense depth and spiritual resonance for those who listen. Walls told People that he is honored to participate in this project, going as far as to describe his admiration for Dillard Bassett’s talent and the chemistry they developed during the process.

Dillard Bassett is paving a path beyond reality television, focusing more on her artistic talents and a full-length music project.
