Brandon Boyer decided to flip the script on a few pesky chatbots.
Boyer was continuously getting contacted by sexbots on his IM service when he decided to try an experiment: he fed their spam messages to each other so they could have a conversation. Boyer told The Awl that he “sat down and started copying/pasting the responses of one sexbot into the window of the other to see if we could spark some fireworks.”
In the picture below, the bots go back and forth spewing superficial sexual requests that lead to a surprisingly coherent, X-rated conversation. Though the bots come from different websites, it’s clear that both use the same code, considering that some of the responses are identical, leading to some redundancy. Boyer spoke on what he learned from the experiment:
