Sharon Stone Gives the Perfect Response About Facing Sexual Harassment in Her Career

There really was no better way to answer this question than this.

Sharon Stone appeared on a segment of CBSSunday Morning Show this weekend and addressed the topic of sexual harassment in the perfect way.

Stone has had a roughly four decade-long career within the entertainment industry as an actress, producer, and model, but it is only recently that the actions of those in the #Time'sUp and #MeToo movements have begun to raise awareness and foster solidarity among victims of sexual abuse in speaking out about their abusers. It is because of this that when asked by CBS correspondent Lee Cowan whether she has faced sexual harassment in her career, Stone simply reacted with 10 whole seconds of genuine laughter.

Her laughter was a clear indication of "Come on, are you serious, guy?" but Cowan was still a little confused, asking, "You're laughing but I don't know if that's a nervous laugh, or an 'Are you kidding me, of course I was' laugh." Stone kindly went on to give Cowan a little lesson in common sense.

"I've been in this business for 40 years, Lee. Can you imagine the business I stepped into 40 years ago? Looking like I look, from nowhere Pennsylvania? I didn't come here with any protection." Stone paused to let her words sink in before ending her flawlessly simple response with, "I've seen it all."

Stone talked about starting over after a nearly life-threatening stroke, and her role in the upcoming HBO series Mosaic in the rest of her interview with Cowan, which you can watch above.
