The 19-year-old model and daughter to Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe is about to star in her first major feature film Gringo alongside Charlize Theron and David Oyelowo, and clearly, she's done blending into the shadows avoiding the press. She's been significantly on-demand in the modeling world in recent years, but the aversion to the press that she inherited from her father has always been a lingering aspect of her personality.

In Jackson's tweet, she addressed the fact that she's struggled with her appearance and identity in the past, but now she seems to have come to terms with who she is. She writes, "I am what I am. I'm aware of what I look like and I [am] finally happy with it." Tons of messages of support came pouring in, but she didn't hold back from defending herself when one user questioned her being mixed.

The young star seems to be taking it all in stride, brushing off the ignorant comments and embracing her own identity. Catch Jackson in Gringo, which opens in theaters this Friday, March 9.
