Alec Baldwin has signed on for Warren Beatty's Howard Hughes biopic, which is still untitled. Beatty will star as Hughes, plus he'll direct and produce. Baldwin will play Robert Maheu, a "key confidant" of Hughes.
The film will also star Matthew Broderick, Annette Bening, Lily Collins and Martin Sheen. In Martin Scorsese's 2004 Hughes film The Aviator, Baldwin played Pan Am founder Juan Trippe.
