While speaking during a press tour to promote Suicide Squad, Will Smith leveled a few choice words at Donald Trump. The actor said Trump's "fat pig" comment about Rosie O'Donnell made him "teary"—and that the statement was "such an absolute illustration of a darkness of [Trump's] soul."

“For a man to be able to publicly refer to a woman as a fat pig, that makes me teary. And for people to applaud, that is absolutely f*cking insanity to me,” Smith told news.com.au Tuesday. “My grandmother would have smacked my teeth out of my head if I had referred to a woman as a fat pig. And I cannot understand how people can clap for that. It’s absolutely collective insanity.”

If one of Smith's sons said that in a public place, Smith told the reporter, "they couldn’t even live in my house anymore.”

Trump called the former The View co-host Rosie O'Donnell a "big, fat pig" in 2006, when she criticized him for not dethroning the winner of Miss USA when she was caught drinking underage. Later that year, he called her "disgusting both inside and out" and "a slob."

"I have faith in America," Smith continued. "America has had really critical times but the good [people] tend to make their way to the top.”

In the days after the Democratic National Convention, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has seen her chances of winning the election improve rather dramatically; Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight election forecast showed her probability of winning the election bump from about 51 percent to over 68 percent, as of Wednesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
