We anticipated that Luke Cage would be a hugely popular hit for Netflix, but didn't expect viewers would crash the site the day after it was released. It did just that on Saturday afternoon, and was out of commission for about two hours.

Netflix came in for the rescue Saturday afternoon, tweeting that "not all heroes wear capes."

Another bit of news from the Luke Cage premiere: it seems that (spoiler alert!) if the last episode of the season is any indication, Netflix is gearing up for the release of Iron Fist next year. One of the episode's closing montages showed Claire Temple walking through Harlem's streets when she stumbles on a flyer advertising martial arts and self-defense classes taught by Colleen Wing (a close ally of Iron Fist).

Happy binge-watching.
