Renée Victor, the veteran actress fondly remembered for voicing the beloved Abuelita in Pixar's Coco, has passed away at the age of 86.

According to Deadline, Victor's agency confirmed she passed away peacefully at her Sherman Oaks home, surrounded by family. The cause of death was lymphoma. In a joint statement, her daughters, Raquel and Margo Victor, shared: "Renée was loved by so many and had fans all over the world. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her."

Born in San Antonio, Texas on July 25, 1938, Victor began her entertainment career as a singer and dancer, performing with legendary Latin bandleaders like Xavier Cugat and Perez Prado. Alongside her husband, Victor toured globally as the duo "Ray & Renee," often referred to as the "Latin Sonny & Cher."

Victor also made waves in television in the 1970s as the host of KTLA's Pacesetters, a program that spotlighted the Chicano Power movement. After joining SAG in 1973, she transitioned into acting, with roles in Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Matlock, The Doctor, The Apostle, and A Night in Old Mexico, where she worked with longtime friend Robert Duvall.

In addition to Coco, her voice work included the 1992 animated The Addams Familyseries. In recent years, she appeared in Vida, Mayans M.C., Snowpiercer, Weeds Dead to Me, Gentefied, and A Million Little Things.
