Jeremy Allen White slipped in a deep cultural hip-hop cut in an Instagram post to promote the upcoming season of The Bear.

On Tuesday, White hopped on Instagram and posted candid shots from The Bear extended universe. One particular photo was the DVD cover of the 2003 Roc-A-Fella Records cult film Death of a Dynasty, with the caption, "ALL NEW EPISODES OF THE BEAR TOMORROW."

The film Death of a Dynasty, directed by Damon Dash, was a satirical, fictionalized take on the rise and fall of the Roc-A-Fella empire, starring Dash alongside the likes of Jay-Z and Cam'ron. The mockumentary follows a young journalist embedded in the Roc circle as he documents the label's success and internal tensions.

Although met with mixed reviews, Death of a Dynasty has since gained a cult following for its raw, ahead-of-its-time portrayal of ego, loyalty, and power in hip-hop. White's reference to the film is random but could hint at a thematic connection for the upcoming season of The Bear.

Could the Death of a Dynasty post be a hint of inner turmoil within the restaurant crew at the heart of the show? Or a playful nod to the show's high-stakes creative environment? Or maybe White is just a fan of the movie and the iconic record label.

Whatever it is, fans will be tuning in to the new season to see what White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss Bachrach, and the rest of the cast are up to on this go around. Season 4 of The Bear premieres Wednesday, June 25, on FX and Hulu.
