Jamie Foxx is once again showing off his legendary impression skills.
After the San Antonio Spurs defeated the New York Knicks 115-111 at Madison Square Garden in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Foxx had social media buzzing after posting a video impersonating the cast of Inside the NBA, the studio crew that helped break down the pivotal matchup.
In the clip, the Oscar-winning actor and comedian cycles through impressions of Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson while also name-dropping Kenny Smith, recreating the familiar chemistry that has made the show a staple for basketball fans.
"I’m here, they’re there, we’re all here, Shaq is here, Charles is here. Kenny's here. What do you think, Shaq?" Foxx says imitating Johnson’s voice before poking fun at Shaq’s voice and then going back to copying Johnson. “I don’t know what the fuck he said but we’re here, they’re going off. It’s great here in the Garden.”
Foxx then shifted into a Barkley-style interruption: "Ernie, Ernie, Ernie, Ernie, Let me, Ernie. Let me, Ernie. Let me say this. Ernie, let me say this. Shaq let me say this."
The timing lands as Inside the NBA enjoys a high-profile moment of its own. The show, which moved from TNT to ESPN for the 2025-26 season while retaining its full four-person panel at Studio J in Atlanta, is covering the NBA Finals for the first time in the show's history, according to ESPN. O'Neal recently sized up the rival studio programs that launched this season, saying, "I'm looking at all the other shows, they're not even close."
Foxx's comedic affinity for NBA personalities is well-documented. He did a LeBron James impression for the First Take crew back in 2017. He has also been running with his Shaq impression for some time.
