Gigi Hadid is speaking out after her name surfaced in newly released documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein, making it clear she had no connection to the disgraced financier.
The supermodel addressed the situation directly on Instagram in a since-deleted reply, calling the experience deeply unsettling.
“Made me sick to my stomach,” Hadid wrote, reacting to a fan’s comment about the documents. “Horrible to read someone you’ve never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context.”
Her name appeared in a 2015 email exchange included in the files, in which Epstein and another individual discussed how the Hadid sisters rose to prominence in modeling. The conversation included speculation about their careers and inappropriate remarks, though there is no indication of any relationship between Hadid and Epstein. Hadid strongly denied any association.
“I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being,” she said, adding that she never met him.
She also explained that she initially chose not to respond publicly out of respect for Epstein’s victims but felt compelled to clarify her position after seeing confusion online.
“I didn’t comment because I don’t want to take away from the stories of real victims,” she wrote. “But it’s important to make this clear.”
Hadid went on to reflect on her upbringing and career, emphasizing that while she acknowledges growing up with certain privileges, her success came through years of work in the modeling industry. She noted that she began meeting with agencies before adulthood and later signed professionally, building her career over time.
The documents referencing Hadid are part of a broader release of materials connected to Epstein, who pleaded guilty in 2008 to charges related to prostitution involving a minor and was later arrested again in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges. He died in jail that same year while awaiting trial.
