The Game of Thrones television franchise has become a meme yet again, thanks to a photo showing a basketball court in the place where scenes for King's Landing were filmed.

Earlier this week, Kendra Middleton of Boston's 98.5 The Sports Hub shared a tweet showing a basketball court on top of a building in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The city was the main filming location for King's Landing, the fictional city in Game of Thrones that was home to the infamous Iron Throne.

"Yoooo, Kings Landing has a basketball court. House of the Dragon about to go crazy," Middleton tweeted.

Without hesitation, folks began making various jokes and memes about the basketball court and several NBA viral moments, such as Ser Jorah Mormont showing off for Daenerys Targaryen, King Joffrey sipping on poisoned Gatorade, overpowering Tyrion Lannister in the paint, and more. Caitlin Clark even received some love in the round of jokes.

According to FIBA's Equipment and Venue site, the King's Landing basketball court is considered an architectural landmark and is "one of the most photographed courts in the world." There are actually two basketball courts inside the city walls with the other being connected to a high school in the area.

This isn't the first connection between the popular franchise and the sport of basketball. In 2014, Bleacher Report launched Game of Zones, a seven-season series that set real NBA storylines in a medieval universe.
