Denzel Washington didn't hold back when it came to his feelings about Jerry Jones' management of the Dallas Cowboys.

On Tuesday, the acclaimed actor, who's a longtime Cowboys fan, appeared on ESPN's First Take and openly criticized Jones and his handling of the team in recent years. According to Washington, he's been a fan since the 1960s, but Jones is "making it hard" for him to show support still.

"I don't like what [Jones] is doing […] I respect the owner, but I don't like what it's doing to the fans. He ain't thinkin about us. He's thinking about his pockets," said Washington. "There's box office and there's Oscars. Jerry, been a while, huh? You ain't been to the show, you wouldn't know. Haven't been to the show, so you wouldn't know what it is to win."

Washington later explained his motivation for calling out the Cowboys' owner on live television: "I love the Cowboys. I love the Cowboys because I really love them. This is why I feel the way I feel [...] All money ain't good money, Jerry," he said.

Washington's sentiments came after First Take host Stephen A. Smith asked his thoughts about the messy contract situation between Dallas and NFL All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons that now has the star's future with the Cowboys in jeopardy.

Additionally, the Cowboys have only won three Super Bowls with Jones as the owner and haven't won one since 1995, which was also the last time they played in the NFC Championship Game.
