Kai Cenat isn't just a streamer, he’s a global sensation. The Bronx native blew up in 2021 and hasn't slowed down since.
Among other things, Cenat is known for his Mafiathon streaming marathons, where he broadcasts nonstop for 30 days from a house packed with guests that run the gamut from rising stars to A-list celebrities. A stream with Cenat feels like a hybrid of a late-night talk show, Big Brother, Jersey Shore, and your best friend on FaceTime.
2025 was another banner year; he's now the most subscribed and followed Twitch streamer in the world and made TIME's 100 Creators list. He's appeared at WWE events, late-night shows, and even a Super Bowl State Farm ad. Still, his best moments happen on stream.
Here are Kai Cenat's 10 best streaming moments of 2025.
10.Reporting Live From the Grammy Awards
In 2025, Kai attended the Grammys for the first time, and while he didn’t have a nomination to his name, his red carpet coverage was jam packed with famous people, and alleged pop-star beef. From being allegedly snubbed by Taylor Swift to supposedly getting Jay-Z’s phone number, Kai was living the dream.
Kai was the first to live stream coverage of the Grammys—and his stream was the most watched that night. Outside of his own content he popped up on E!’s glambot, the Shade Room, and MTV’s coverage as well. He even had a very nice conversation with Beyoncé, where the superstar told him he had “beautiful energy.” Talk about a win. -Layla Ahmad
9.Meeting His Idol Tobey Maguire
If you’re wondering why Kai’s meeting with the OG Spider-Man is list-worthy, then you don’t know Kai very well. The young streamer has repeatedly said that Tobey Maguire is his favorite actor and the celebrity he most wanted to meet. Why? Growing up, while his mom was working hard to make ends meet, he would repeatedly watch his Spider-Man DVD at home. So when he finally met Maguire at Super Bowl LIX, Kai asked if there was a way to contact Tobey’s team. Instead, he ended up getting Tobey’s direct number. And, yes, they texted. Kai telling his community about this moment was one of his most precious internet moments of the last year.-Layla Ahmad
8.Kim Kardashian Smashes a Table Over Kai’s Head
Kim K, a known Kai Cenat fan, appeared in the trailer for Mafiathon 3. Her son Saint is a huge follower of Cenat’s as well, which led to this memorable moment during the livestream.
Kim made a guest appearance and showed up on the stream with Saint to hang out with Kai and his friends. Mother and son played the “Extreme Noodle Game,” where someone sits in a chair with a hockey helmet on, while everyone behind them picks up either a pool noodle or an object and then hits the person in the chair. Of course, Kardashian chose to hit Cenat over the head with a table — before blaming it on her kid. -Layla Ahmad
7.The Car Bed of It All
Kai introduced new modes of transportation, combining comfort and travel, this year, with the car bed. He excitedly told his viewers that he was showing them the first ever car bed, and it really was a car…and a bed±with bedsheets, pillows, and everything. People loved it, claiming they would never leave their bed, or would scream if they saw someone driving down the highway in their bed. But the saga of the car bed wasn’t all fun and games. In fact, Kai’s bed trapped him while he was sleeping. And while he screamed in terror and asked for help, his good friends simply looked at him and went back to sleep. -Layla Ahmad
6.Kai, Druski, Kevin Hart Link Back Up
Where to begin. The legendary link up between Kai, Druski, and Kevin Hart started a few years ago, when the two funnymen first visited Cenat on his stream and both famously fell asleep. A few months later the three joined forces for a Thanksgiving stream during Mafiathon 2, which resulted in absolute insanity (and turkey.) More recently, Druski and Hart popped back up on Cenat’s stream for a tour of Hart’s house, and to set Druski up on a blind date.
Whenever these three get together it's a masterpiece, and in this case, a record-breaking one: their Mafiathon 3 appearance became the most watched stream in Twitch history. Now the trio are confirmed to appear in a new comedy called Livestream from Hell. -Layla Ahmad
5.Keeping Clean During Mafiathon
Kai’s shower routines were more than just simple shampoo and conditioner; his showers became a whole show. He had the Chainsmokers DJ one session, turning it into what they called “the rave shower” for 40 minutes. They played all their classics, (“Closer,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Roses,”) before joining Kai in the shower and flipping him upside down after playing “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls.
Ray J tried to shower with Kai Cenat during Mafiathon as well, sneaking into his mansion in a full suit that tore away to reveal a bathing suit. This time, Kai’s reaction wasn’t as warm. He ran out of the shower screaming, telling his DJ to turn off the music. He also threatened his production for giving Ray J the house address. Meanwhile, Ray J appeared unfazed, continuing to shower and sing by himself. Unhinged. -Layla Ahmad
4.Motivational Speeches
Towards the end of Kai’s Mafiathon 3 streams, Cenat would play soft, emotional music. Then, he gave his guests the stage for about a minute. Guests had the chance to give a motivational speech to the chat and drop some words of wisdom. And some of the speeches were truly great. Snoop Dogg, the Jonas Brothers, Ice Cube, Keke Palmer, Kim Kardashian, The Chainsmokers, Mariah Carey, and more all stopped by to drop some wisdom upon the chat.
One memorable line came during an appearance from Hot Ones ’ Sean Evans, who dropped this ice-cold line: “Glaciers, okay, they can change landscapes, but they don’t do it with their speed. They do it through steady pressure by always moving forward. Don’t be so afraid of not moving fast enough that you choose not to move at all. That’s what I have. Thank you so much for watching. Shout out to the chat.” -Layla Ahmad
3.Mariah Carey Stops By the Stream
You know we weren’t going to leave an appearance from the Queen of Christmas herself off the list of Kai’s best moments. Mariah is a proud diva, and nowhere was this more apparent than her appearance on this year’s Mafiathon 3.
This stream had it all — Kai asked Mariah if she would buy him a lamborghini — AND one million dollars. Mariah didn't say yes or no, hitting him with a “it’s possible.” And Mimi knows Kai’s stream is the place to be; she even unveiled her latest album cover during their hang out session. Mariah even participated in a spelling bee with Kai’s pals, before hitting the chat with a classic motivation speech, leaving everyone with some wisdom: “Hold onto hope no matter what’s going on in your life, pray when you need to pray, don’t ever let anybody put you down.” -Layla Ahmad
2.The Streamer University Event
This year proved that Kai isn’t just focused on his own streaming career, he’s paying it forward. This led him to create Streamer University, a three day, in-person bootcamp for people who want to become creators. Hosted at the University of Akron, the event helped about 120 different creators come together to learn about content and audiences, and saw the other more well-known streamers and influencers serve as “professors” and mentors.
Some of the courses students could take included “Monetization for Dummies,” “Internet Beef 101,” and “Defense Against Hating.” Kai covered all the costs for those enrolled: tuition, food, travel, and accommodation.
While the event had good intentions, it ended up going viral due to what happened outside the classroom. There were reports of students ganging up on each other, fighting, bullying, and tears—things that happen in real-life university too. There are reports that Kai spent close to three million dollars on the event, but he hasn’t been deterred by the events of this year. He has confirmed that Streamer University will return bigger and better in 2026. -Layla Ahmad
1.LeBron James Streams with Kai
LeBron James made an iconic appearance during the finale of Mafiathon 3, and he didn’t come empty handed. Imagine LeBron showing up at your house and gifting you a $200,000 watch and his unreleased Nike LeBron 23 sneakers for you and all your friends? His appearance was to celebrate Kai reaching one million subscribers during his subathon, with the deal being that he would cut off his locs if this milestone was reached.
And who did the honors of giving Kai this haircut? None other than LeBron himself. He brought his wife Savannah, and daughter Zhuri, while some of Kai’s family pulled up for the occasion.
“LeBarber,” as Kai dubbed LeBron, did a house tour of Kai’s mansion, and played some ball, before Kai sat down for him to cut his hair. Of course, LeBron had to leave the chat with some of his wisdom during his motivational speech: “Don’t worry about the haters. They ain’t shit. Don’t worry about the naysayers, because they ain’t shit.” W, LeMotivational James. -Layla Ahmad
