OnlyFans star Sophie Rain slammed Florida Gov. candidate James Fishback on Thursday after the hopeful unveiled a controversial plan to impose a 50% tax on income earned by creators in the adult content industry.

Fishback, a first-time candidate, framed the policy as a moral stand and a key part of his platform.

"As Florida governor in year one, I will push for the first-of-its-kind OnlyFans Sin Tax," he wrote on X.

"If you are a so-called OnlyFans creator in Florida, you are going to pay 50% to the state on whatever you so-called earn via that online degeneracy platform."

The candidate claimed the tax would generate "hundreds of millions of dollars" in new revenue and would act as a deterrent for young women considering adult content creation.

"If we don’t raise that money," he said, "it means something even greater has happened."

Fishback also took direct aim at Rain, tagging her in a tweet and demanding: "Hey @SophieRaiin, Pay up or quit OnlyFans. As Florida Governor, I will not allow a generation of smart and capable young women to sell their bodies online."

The 23-year-old internet personality fired back on X with a sarcastic jab at the proposal: "sounds like you subscribed and got buyers remorse after dropping your annual salary on an OF girl 💀."

The exchange comes just days after Rain posted a TikTok about the downside of her internet fame, saying people “constantly judge and pick apart every decision you make” and that “sometimes the hardest part is staying silent.”
