Martin Scorsese is heading back to the world of high-stakes Las Vegas drama — and before a single actor has officially been cast, Hollywood is already trying to get one name into the mix.

Netflix recently announced an untitled eight-episode series set in present-day Las Vegas from Billions creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien, with Scorsese attached as an executive producer. The show will follow Robert "Bobby Red" Redman, the president of a powerful casino empire navigating the brutal modern gambling industry.

According to the streaming giant, Scorsese's Sikelia Productions is producing the series alongside Rick Yorn and Julie Yorn of Expanded Media, as well as Paul Schiff, Beth Schacter, and Kerry Orent.

Almost immediately, the announcement sparked speculation online about who might eventually join the cast, and one name that keeps popping up is PJ Schulte.

The actor addressed the buzz earlier this week while speaking to The Hollywood Fix outside the Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills.

"That would be a dream come true," Schulte said in the video interview when asked about the possibility of joining the project. “Scorsese is the G.O.A.T.”

Schulte also revealed he's been preparing for more acting opportunities behind the scenes.

"I'm doing a lot of projects on the producing side and management, but this is like a secret passion of mine and I'm really hitting those late-night classes, staying sharp," he explained. "I'm just staying ready for whatever."

The comments quickly made the rounds online, with a number of stars voicing support for Schulte.

Boxing champ Ryan Garcia wrote on social media, "Got to get PJ starring in this!!"

Comedian Adam Waheed also weighed in, posting, "Need to cast my guy PJ for this!!"

Viral influencer Jailyne Ojeda added, "They need @italian [Schulte] in this show!"

Celebrity lawyer E5quire also threw his support behind Schulte, writing, "[PJ] is the one!!! PJ would be perfect for this!!!"

For now, the Netflix project is still in early development, and no official cast has been announced.

Still, the excitement surrounding the show isn't surprising. The series marks Scorsese's first return to the world of Las Vegas crime and casino power struggles since his 1995 film Casino, which starred Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Sharon Stone.
