Crip Mac is a lot of things — rapper, internet legend, and a self-proclaimed ‘highest-ranked general’ in the 55th Street Neighborhood Crips. He's also fresh out of federal prison and already naming names on who held him down while he was locked up.
"I got some solid homeboys that respect my general rank," the 33-year-old YouTuber, whose real name is Trevor Hurd, told Andy Bachman on the Tuesday, March 17 episode of Creators Think. "Adam22 sent a couple thousand.”
Hurd went on to explain that the support wasn't just for him. "Considering I had my CM and the baby, I had to make sure they had stuff," he said. "I was in there a while and things was getting a little expensive, but I wanted to make sure the baby and my CM had some things going."
Adam22 — whose real name is Adam Grandmaison — is the host of No Jumper, one of the most popular hip-hop podcasts on YouTube with nearly 5 million subscribers. The media personality recently made headlines for getting knocked out in 73 seconds during a boxing match against adult film star Jason Luv.
As for Hurd, he was released from federal prison in late January 2026 after serving nearly three years on a ghost gun charge. According to FOX 11 Los Angeles, the rapper was caught in September 2023 with a handgun bearing no serial number and 10 rounds of ammunition. He pleaded guilty to the federal charge in April 2024 and was sentenced that July.
Elsewhere in the interview, Hurd opened up about daily life behind bars, describing a routine of "mackerel, the rice, the beans, and coffee." He also shared the strangest business opportunity that's come from his internet fame. "These motherf*ckers want you to put on a dress and cover your gang tattoos to get with Tyler Perry and people," he said. "It'll never happen."
As for what's next, the content creator told Bachman the plan is simple: "Just stay out the way.”
