Tyra Banks is revealing her unusual method for keeping food crumbs in check. During a recent morning show appearance, the America’s Next Top Model host admitted that her snacking habits might raise a few eyebrows.
During an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends, Banks admitted to show host Jenna Bush Hager that she likes to eat snacks while watching TV in bed. Her mom, Carolyn London, joins her and together, “We do ice cream in bed. We do popcorn.”
Per PEOPLE Magazine, the host revealed that she doesn’t like to snack in bed because of the crumbs. That’s what led to the ex-supermodel’s confession.
“Yes, but the great thing is then a couple of days later,” Banks began, leading Hager to respond, “No, you do not!”
Banks continued, “A couple of days later, you get down there and I clean crumbs by eating them. Because if you put it in the trash, it’s gonna get roaches or something. So you just clean it up with your finger. Or you just eat it.”
There appears to be no hard and fast rule for the former Sports Illustrated cover girl to eat the crumbs out of her bed. She believes it's perfectly fine to eat what’s been sitting around for a couple of days.
“A few days if it’s not super perishable. Like popcorn? I mean, come on,” Banks admitted. “That’s like astronaut food. It just lasts forever. You just pick it up. I’m not joking.”
This led the Today host to ask the television personality what she does when there are crumbs on the floor of her home. Her response remained the same because she has a “no-shoe rule” in her home.
“If it’s on your ground! That’s your feet. I can eat off my floor. No, but I’m serious, I do that. But then I see my son [York] doing it and I’m like, ‘Don’t do that!’ And he’s like, ‘But you do it.’”
Banks is co-hosting the fourth hour of Today all week, through August 1.
