Oscar winner Halle Berry turned heads with a series of birthday bikini pics amid drama with her ex-husband, David Justice.
Berry, who just turned 59, took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos where she celebrated her special day in style alongside boyfriend Van Hunt. The actress appeared not to have a care in the world in the images, but her caption spoke volumes in response to remarks Justice made during a recent podcast appearance. “Phew…! cooking, cleaning, and mothering,” Berry wrote.
Fans picked up on the inside joke quickly. They shared their thoughts in the post’s comments section.
“Bravo! Nobody puts Berry in a corner,” penned one follower. A second wrote, “Saying a lot without saying anything! Wishing you many more years of cooking, cleaning, and mothering.”

Justice was married to the Oscar-winning actress from 1993 to 1997. He appeared on the All the Smoke podcast, sharing why his marriage to Berry didn’t work out.
Justice admitted that he didn’t “know if his heart was really into” the relationship. He cited a primary concern that he didn’t think at the time that Berry was “motherly.”
“I’m thinking, ‘OK, if we have kids, is this the woman I want to have kids with and build a family with?’” Justice said.
“And at that time, as a young guy, she don’t cook, don’t clean, don’t really seem motherly—and then we started having issues.”
Berry shares daughter Nahla, 17, with ex-boyfriend, model and actor Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo-Robert, 11, with ex-husband, actor Olivier Martinez. She has been dating Van Hunt since 2020.
